J. Edgar－FBI傳奇：胡佛探長

在FBI擔任局長，歷經多任總統還能屹立不搖，人生工作48年，光是瞧這履歷，胡佛這個人真不是普通的能幹，但能幹就是得付出，必須和人勾心鬥角，防人、防人還是防人，影片裡不隻一次胡佛對他母親說他不相信任何人，在晚年時，仍向他的心腹訴說著他不相信任何人，讓人感到有些悲憫，成就就是這樣換來的。

不過，胡佛，這個傳奇人物，還是有著很大的貢獻，改變了FBI，改變了現在的美國，改變了現在的犯罪調查。儘管他不善待人處事，個性執著，很容易得罪人，但也因為他的固執，他緻力於他要做的事情上，像是科學調查、歸納指紋等等。

概括而言，胡佛不全然的好，也不是全然的不好，正如片頭一開始他在請人寫自傳時所說：「偉大的人，也可以是腐敗的。」

胡佛也做過骯髒事，不是全然的正義，不是全然的打擊犯罪，他也有虛榮，謊編自己的豐功偉業，假裝人們為總統的歡呼是給自己的，想要別人崇拜他，WaterProof有好有壞，全然的「人」。

這部影片充分的展現一體兩面，好比竊聽這件事可以成為打擊犯罪的證據，但也有可能是為了私人利益當成威脅別人的工具，有光明地方免不了就有陰影。

影片有一個爭議性的地方，那就是胡佛是同志嗎？看完後，查了些資料，我想就像導演克林伊斯威特說的：「他是不是Gay固然有待證實，但他與托爾森是形影不離的伴侶，我認為他們對彼此有強烈好感，這其中明顯有一段感情故事，至於是不是同志，我不知道，觀眾可以自己詮釋。我隻想拍出兩個真的相愛的男人，其他都不幹我的事。」

主演的李奧納多也說了：「他們是否真的曾發生關係，我們永遠不會知道，那個年代已隨他們而去。但我相信他們一生都是相守的伴侶，兩人一生身邊都無女伴，胡佛死後更把一切都留給了托爾森。不容爭辯的是，他們在某種意義上已是伴侶。」

那個年代就是什麼都無法說清楚的年代啊。

另外，值得一提的是這部片老化與肥胖的化妝技術自己覺得相當逼真，真想看看這幕後過程。
